9-(Bromoacetyl)anthracene

Abstract: In the title compound, C₁₆H₁₁BrO, the bromoacetyl group makes an angle of 105.8 (1)° with the anthracene ring system. The crystal packing is consolidated by C-H, Br and C-HO interactions.
