The 1:2 adduct of hexaaquanickel(II) dinitrate and bis(pyrimidin-2-ylsulfanyl)methane

Abstract: In the title compound, hexaaquanickel(II) dinitrate-bis(pyrimidin-2-ylsulfanyl)methane (1/2), [Ni(H₂O)₆](NO₃)₂·2C₉H₈N₄S₂, the Ni^II ion, located on an inversion center, has a distorted octahedral coordination geometry. The Ni^II complex cation, nitrate anions and the bis(pyrimidin-2-ylsulfanyl)methane molecules are linked together by hydrogen-bonding interactions.
