Tetrakis(-2,6-difluorobenzoato-²O:O')bis[aquacopper(II)]

Abstract: The title complex, [Cu₂(C₇H₃F₂O₂)₄(H₂O)₂], has a centrosymmetric dinuclear structure in which two symmetry-related Cu^II centers are bridged by four carboxylate groups of distinct 2,6-difluorobenzoate ligands, the CuCu separation being 2.6139 (2) Å. Each Cu^II center is five-coordinated by four O atoms of carboxylate groups in the basal plane and the O atom of a water molecule in the apical position.
