-bromido-bis[dibromidopalladate(II)]Abstract: The title compound, (C16H36N)2[Pd2Br6], was prepared from palladium(II) bromide and tetrabutylammonium bromide. In the anion, the terminal and bridging Pd-Br bond lengths lie in the ranges 2.3982 (9)-2.4185 (8) and 2.4389 (7)-2.4513 (7) Å, respectively. The anion can be viewed as a dimeric cluster consiting of two edge-sharing PdBr4 square units, which make a dihedral angle of 7.84 (4)°.
