Dimethyl (2E)-2-(4-nitro-1H-imidazol-1-yl)but-2-enedioate

Abstract: In the title molecule, C₉H₉N₃O₆, all bond lengths and angles are normal. The crystal packing shows intermolecular C-HO hydrogen bonds, with HO distances of 2.299 (16) and 2.374 (15) Å, which link the molecules into ribbons.
