Abstract: The title compound, [Ni(NCS)2(C11H14BrClN2O)2], is a mononuclear NiII complex, in which the Ni atom lies on an inversion centre. It is chelated by the phenolate O and imine N atoms from two Schiff base ligands, and is also coordinated by the N atoms from two thiocyanate ligands, giving a slightly distorted octahedral geometry. In the crystal structure, molecules are linked through intra- and intermolecular hydrogen bonds of types N-H
O, N-H
Br, N-H
N, N-H
S and C-H
S, forming layers parallel to the ac plane.
