Abstract: The title compound, [Ni(NCS)₂(C₁₁H₁₄BrClN₂O)₂], is a mononuclear Ni^II complex, in which the Ni atom lies on an inversion centre. It is chelated by the phenolate O and imine N atoms from two Schiff base ligands, and is also coordinated by the N atoms from two thiocyanate ligands, giving a slightly distorted octahedral geometry. In the crystal structure, molecules are linked through intra- and intermolecular hydrogen bonds of types N-HO, N-HBr, N-HN, N-HS and C-HS, forming layers parallel to the ac plane.
