3-(2-Chloro-4-hydroxyphenyl)-1-thioisocoumarin

Abstract: The structure of the title compound, C₁₅H₉ClO₂S, has a thioisocoumarin unit and a substituted phenyl group that are twisted at a dihedral angle of 33.40 (6)° with respect to one another. In addition to weak O-HS interactions, C-HS/O/Cl-type interactions that stabilize the structure are also observed.
