{₄-3,3'-Bi[tricyclo[2.2.1.0^2,6]heptaphosphane](4-)}tetrakis[bis(1,2-dimethoxyethane)sodium(I)]

Abstract: The centrosymmetric molecules of the title compound, [Na₄(P₁₄)(C₄H₁₀O₂)₈], contain two P₇ clusters connected by a P-P single bond and bridged by two Na atoms. In addition, two terminal Na atoms are attached to the P clusters. The Na atoms are also coordinated by two dimethoxyethane molecules, resulting in distorted cis-NaP₂O₄ octahedra.
