2-(4-Hydroxy-3,5-dimethoxyphenyl)-1H-phenanthro[9,10-d]imidazole methanol solvate

Abstract: The title compound, C₂₄H₂₂N₂O₄, was synthesized by the reaction of 9,10-phenanthraquinone, 4-hydroxy-3,5-dimethoxybenzaldehyde and ammonium acetate in acetic acid. The molecules are linked into a two-dimensional network by a combination of one N-HO, one O-HN and two O-HO hydrogen bonds.
