5,5,5-Trifluoro-N-(4-fluorophenyl)-4-hydroxypentanamide

Abstract: In the molecule of the title compound, C₁₁H₁₁F₄NO₂, the amide plane is oriented with respect to the planar aromatic ring at a dihedral angle of 19.5 (3)°. In the crystal structure, the molecules are linked firstly into centrosymmetric dimers, and then into infinite chains by intermolecular N-HO and O-HO hydrogen bonds, respectively.
