2S,S')nickelate(III)Abstract: The title compound, (C12H12FN2)[Ni(C4N2S2)2], is a salt of the 2-amino-1-(4-fluorobenzyl)pyridinium (FBz2NH2py)+ cation and the [Ni(mnt)2]- anion (mnt = maleonitriledithiolate or 1,2-dicyanoethane-1,2-dithiolate). The NiIII atom exhibits the expected square-planar coordination geometry. The cations and anions stack in well segregated columns along the a axis in the solid state, and the NiIII anions form a one-dimensional zigzag chain through weak Ni
