Abstract: In the title compound, C31H35NO3, the central heterocyclic ring of the octahydroacridinedione system is planar while the outer two rings each adopt an envelope conformation. The buckling angle between the two halves is 8.52 (3)°, which shows the relative planarity of the decahydroacridinedione system. The dihedral angle between the planes of the two aromatic rings is 7.55 (7)°. The crystal structure is stabilized by two intermolecular C-H
O hydrogen bonds that generate C(10) chains and an R22(16) ring motif. A weak C-H
interaction further stabilizes the structure.
