The title compound, C51H56N4O21·0.1C6H14, crystallizes with two independent protected tris­accharide mol­ecules and a partially occupied hexane solvent mol­ecule in the asymmetric unit. The major conformational difference between the two tris­accharide mol­ecules involves the O-acetyl group at the exocyclic primary C atom of the galactosyl residue.

Special details top

Geometry. All e.s.d.'s (except the e.s.d. in the dihedral angle between two l.s. planes) are estimated using the full covariance matrix. The cell e.s.d.'s are taken into account individually in the estimation of e.s.d.'s in distances, angles and torsion angles; correlations between e.s.d.'s in cell parameters are only used when they are defined by crystal symmetry.
