Supermesityltellurenyl bromide

Abstract: The title compound, bromo(2,4,6-tri-tert-butylphenyl)tellurium, 2,4,6-^tBu₃C₆H₂TeBr or C₁₈H₂₉BrTe, features a C-Te-Br angle of 93.61 (5)° and a Te-Br bond length of 2.5320 (4) Å. In the crystal structure, molecules associate via secondary TeBr contacts of 3.592 (1) Å, giving rise to one-dimensional polymers.
