Abstract: The title compound, [ZnBr2(C12H16Cl2N2O)], is a mononuclear ZnII complex. The ZnII ion is four-coordinated in a tetrahedral geometry by one Schiff base ligand and by two Br atoms. In the crystal structure, molecules are linked through N-H
Br, C-H
Br and C-H
O intermolecular hydrogen bonds, forming layers parallel to the ab plane.
