Bis(2-fluorobenzyl)(N-salicylidenevalinato-³N,O,O')tin(IV)

Abstract: In the title compound, [Sn(C₇H₆F)₂(C₁₂H₁₃NO₃)], the Schiff base acts as a tridentate ligand, chelating the Sn atom. The Sn atom is five-coordinate in a distorted trigonal-bipyramidal geometry, with the O atoms occupying the axial positions, and the N and C atoms occupying the equatorial positions. In addition, in the crystal, one of the F atoms is disordered over two positions.
