(E)-Methyl 3-[3-(bromomethyl)phenyl]acrylate

Abstract: In the title molecule, C₁₁H₁₁BrO₂, all bond lengths and angles show normal values. Weak intermolecular C-HO hydrogen bonds link the molecules into centrosymmetric dimers and C-H interactions contribute to the stability of the crystal packing.
