Ethylenediammonium gallic vanadium hydrogen sulfate monohydrate

Abstract: The title compound, tetrakis(ethylenediammonium) gallium trivanadium octakis(hydrogen sulfate) tetrahydroxide tetrahydrate, (C₂H₁₀N₂)₄[GaV₃(SO₄)₈(OH)₄]·4H₂O, was obtained hydrothermally from an aqueous solution of VOSO₄, Ga₂O₃, ethylenediamine, glycol and sulfuric acid. The structure features a one-dimensional chain built from MO₆ octahedra (site symmetry $\\overline{1}$ , M = V or Ga) and bridging OH and SO₄ groups.
