Bis(4-carboxamidopyridinium) diaquadioxalatocuprate(II)

Abstract: In the title compound, (C₆H₇N₂O)₂[Cu(C₂O₄)₂(H₂O)₂], the Cu^II center (site symmetry $\\overline{1}$ ) exhibits an octahedral coordination geometry arising from four O atoms of two oxalate dianions and two O atoms of water molecules. The protonated isonicotinamide cation interacts with the anion by O-HO and N-HO hydrogen bonds, generating a three-dimensional network.
