Abstract: The title compound, [Ni(C₁₀H₈N₂)₃]₂[Mo₈O₂₆]·4H₂O, was synthesized hydrothermally as colorless crystalline blocks. The asymmetric unit consists of one cation, one half-anion and two water molecules; the anion is centrosymmetric.
