2N,N')zinc(II)Abstract: The title compound, [ZnCl2(C5N2H14)], crystallizes with two discrete mononuclear complex molecules in the the asymmetric unit, with an intermolecular Zn
Zn separation of 5.271 (7) Å. Each ZnII ion is in a distorted tetrahedral coordination geometry formed by two Cl atoms and two N atoms. In the crystal structure, molecules are connected by N-H
Cl hydrogen bonds into tetrameric clusters separated by normal van der Waals distances.
