Abstract: In the title compound, [Zn(C₂₀H₁₄N₂O₂)(C₅H₅N)], the Zn^II atom is in a distorted square-pyramidal environment. In the crystal structure, intermolecular C-HO interactions interconnect the molecules into wave-like chains along the c axis. In addition, the crystal packing is further stabilized by weak C-H interactions.
