Triaquabis[(2-nitrophenylsulfanyl)acetato-²O,O']cadmium(II) dihydrate

Abstract: The title compound, [Cd(C₈H₆NO₄S)₂(H₂O)₃]·2H₂O, has a seven-coordinate Cd^II atom in a distorted pentagonal-bipyramidal geometry defined by four carboxylate O atoms from two (2-nitrophenylsulfanyl)acetate groups and three O atoms from three water molecules. The complex molecules are linked together by intermolecular hydrogen bonds involving the uncoordinated water molecules, resulting in a two-dimensional network.
