Abstract: In the ionic title compound, [Ni(H₂O)₆](C₈H₆NO₅)₂·5H₂O, the [Co(H₂O)₆]²⁺ cation, (4-nitrophenoxy)acetate anions and water molecules engage in O-HO hydrogen bonding, generating a three-dimensional hydrogen-bonded network.
