Abstract: The title compound, C₁₉H₁₈O₃, also known as tanshinone IIA, contains a four-ring system. The crystal packing involves - stacking interactions of 3.279 Å and C-HO hydrogen bonds. The molecule lies on a crystallographic mirror plane, which involves disorder of the cyclohexene ring across this plane.
