Abstract: The title compound, [Ag(C5H5N)(H2O)](C6H4Cl2NO3S)·2H2O, has a mononuclear structure in which the Ag+ cation is two-coordinated by one N atom from a pyridine molecule and one O atom from a water molecule. The 4-amino-2,5-dichlorobenzenesulfonate anion does not coordinate to the Ag atom, but acts as a counterion. Intermolecular O-H
O hydrogen bonds link the ions and water molecules.
