Abstract: The structure of the title compound, [Bi₂(C₇H₅O₃)₆(C₁₀H₈N₂)₂], consists of centrosymmetric dimeric units in which salicylate ligands bridge two metal centres. The Bi atom is eight-coordinated, with Bi-O and Bi-N bond lengths in the ranges 2.377 (3)-3.044 (3) and 2.387 (3)-2.511 (3) Å, respectively. Each of the salicylate ligands shows an intramolecular hydrogen bond.
