Bis(benzimidazole-N)bis(4-formylbenzoato-O)zinc(II) monohydrate

Abstract: The zinc center in the title compound, [Zn(C₈H₅O₃)₂(C₇H₆N₂)₂]·H₂O, shows tetrahedral coordination. The molecules are linked by N-HO and O-HO hydrogen bonds. One of the two formylbenzoate ligands is disordered, approximately equally, over two positions.
