J.-P. Xiao, Q.-X. Zhou and J.-H. Tu

Abstract: The title compound, C7H8N2O4, is an important precursor of bi- or multidentate ligands. The structure contains two molecules linked together via intermolecular N-H...O and N-H...N hydrogen bonds and intermolecular C-H...O contacts, resulting in a two-dimensional network. All atoms except for methyl H atoms lie on crystallographic mirror planes.
