(2,2'-Bipyridine-²N,N')(nitrato-²O,O')bis(pyrrolidine-1-dithiocarboxylato-²S,S')bismuth(III)

Abstract: The title compound, [Bi(C₄H₈NS₂)₂(NO₃)(C₁₀H₈N₂)], is monomeric, with the Bi atom chelated by the S atoms of two pyrrolidine-1-dithiocarboxylate ligands and the N atoms of a 2,2'-bipyridine ligand. A nitrate ligand completes the coordination, with the eight-coordinated Bi atom adopting a highly distorted capped pentagonal-bipyramidal geometry.
