Methyl 2-[(1-oxo-1H-isochromen-3-yl)methyl]benzoate

Abstract: In the nonplanar title compound, C₁₈H₁₄O₄, the dihedral angle between the isochromene and benzene ring systems is 83.32 (6)°. The crystal structure is stabilized by intra- and intermolecular C-HO interactions, the latter resulting in centrosymmetric dimers.
