catena-Poly[piperazinium di--sulfido-gallium]

Abstract: The structure of the title compound, {(C₄H₁₁N₂)[GaS₂]}_n, which was prepared under solvothermal conditions, consists of one-dimensional [GaS₂]^- chains of edge-sharing GaS₄ tetrahedra, separated by monoprotonated piperazinium cations. The crystal packing is consolidated by N-HN and N-HS hydrogen bonds.
