Abstract: The Sn atoms of the monomeric title compound, [Sn₂(C₆H₁₁)₆S], display slightly distorted SnSC₃ tetrahedral geometries, with mean Sn-C and Sn-S distances of 2.163 (6) and 2.4089 (14) Å, respectively. The bridging Sn-S-Sn angle is 113.43 (5)°.
