1-(3,5-Dimethylphenyl)-3-phenylthiourea

Abstract: The title compound, C₁₅H₁₆N₂S, was prepared by the reaction of 3,5-dimethylphenylamine with 1-isothiocyanatobenzene. In the molecule, all bond lengths and angles are within normal ranges. The dihedral angle between the two aromatic rings is 48.77 (1)°. The crystal packing is stabilized by van der Waals forces.
