Abstract: The asymmetric unit of the title compound, C17H13ClFNO4, contains two independent molecules. The dihedral angles between the pyridine and benzene rings are 83.3 (2) and 69.7 (1)° in the two molecules. In the crystal structure, intermolecular C-H
N and C-H
F hydrogen bonds link the molecules into chains.
