2N,N')(pyridine-2,6-dicarboxylate N-oxide-
2O1,O2)copper(II) trihydrateAbstract: In the title complex, [Cu(C7H3NO5)(C10H8N2)(H2O)]·3H2O, the CuII atom has a slightly distorted square-pyramidal coordination geometry, with a basal plane formed by two N atoms of the 2,2'-bipyridine ligand and two O atoms of the pyridine-2,6-dicarboxylate N-oxide. The apical position is occupied by a water molecule. The crystal structure contains O-H
O intermolecular hydrogen bonds.
