Abstract: In the structure of the title compound (N2CPBA), C13H10ClNO, the conformation of the N-H bond is anti to the ortho-Cl substituent in the aniline benzene ring. It closely resembles the structure of 2-chloro-N-phenylbenzamide (NP2CBA), although the two amides crystallize in different crystal systems. The molecules of N2CPBA are linked into a chain through an N-H
O hydrogen bond.
