2N,N']copper(II) monohydrateAbstract: The CuII atom in the title compound, [Cu(C5H3N6)2(H2O)2]·H2O, is chelated by two pyrazinyltetrazolate ligands and, in addition, coordinated by two water molecules in a tetragonally elongated octahedral geometry [Cu-N = 1.990 (2) and 2.056 (2) Å, and Cu-O = 2.445 (2) Å]. The CuII atom lies on a center of inversion. In the crystal structure, molecules are linked by O-H
O and O-H
N hydrogen bonds into a three-dimensional network. The free water molecule is disordered about a twofold axis.
