Abstract: In the chalcone-derived title compound, C18H18O5, the dihedral angle between the aromatic ring mean planes is 16.64 (15)°. In the crystal structure, adjacent molecules interact by way of O-H
O=C hydrogen bonds, leading to C(8) chains. A C-H
interaction also helps to stabilize the centrosymmetric crystal packing.
