2N,N')diperchloratocadmium(II)Abstract: In the crystal structure of the title compound, [Cd(ClO4)2(C9H8N2)2], the Cd atom is coordinated by four N atoms of two 8-aminoquinoline ligands and two O atoms of two perchlorate anions, within a strongly distorted octahedron and with the Cd atom located on a centre of inversion. These complexes are connected via N-H
O hydrogen bonding into a channel structure.
