Abstract: In the title compound, [Zn(C₂₀H₁₂Br₂N₂O₂)(C₅H₅N)], the Zn^II atom is in a distorted square-pyramidal environment in both independent molecules. The crystal structure is stabilized by C-HO and C-H interactions, together with short BrN contacts.
