(2-Ethylimidazole-N)bis(tri-tert-butoxysilanethiolato-²O,S)zinc(II) propan-2-ol solvate

Abstract: In the title compound, [Zn(C₁₂H₂₇O₃SSi)₂(C₅H₈N₂)]·C₃H₈O, the Zn^II centre is coordinated by the N atom of the 2-ethylimidazole ligand and two S and two O atoms of the two thiolate ligands in a trigonal-bipyramidal geometry. The hydroxyl group of the propan-2-ol solvent molecule forms N-HO and O-HS hydrogen bonds with adjacent molecules, linking them into chains.
