Tris[(3-aminopropyl)dimethylammonium] decavanadate(V) hexahydrate

C.-Y. Zhu, Y.-T. Li, J.-D. Wu, Z.-Y. Wu and X. Wu

Abstract: The title compound, 3(C5H16N2)2+·[V10O28]6-·6H2O, consists of decavanadate polyanions, doubly protonated N,N-dimethylpropane-1,3-diammonium cations (H2dmpn2+) and uncoordinated water molecules. Two crystallographically independent decavanadate anions are located across inversion centers. The terminal V=O bond distances are much shorter than the bridging V-O bond distances. The structural components are linked by extensive hydrogen bonding, forming a three-dimension supramolecular architecture.
