Dichloridobis(dimethyl sulfoxide-O)diphenyltin(IV)

Abstract: The geometry around the Sn atom of the title compound, [Sn(C₆H₅)₂Cl₂(C₂H₆OS)₂], is distorted octahedral, with Sn-C and Sn-O distances lying in the ranges 2.139 (4)-2.156 (4) and 2.270 (2)-2.279 (2) Å, respectively. Molecules are linked by intermolecular C-HO and C-HCl hydrogen bonds, and by C-H interactions with distances of 2.8 and 2.75 Å.
