Bis[1-(4-iodobenzyl)pyridinium] bis(maleonitriledithiolato)nickelate(II)

Abstract: In the crystal structure of the title complex, (C₁₂H₁₁IN)₂[Ni(C₄N₂S₂)₂], the [Ni(mnt)₂]^2- anion (mnt is maleonitriledithiolate) lies on an inversion center and possesses a square-planar geometry. Strong SI stacking interactions are observed between anions and cations in the crystal structure, with SI separations of 3.3863 (9) Å.
