Abstract: The Pt atom in the title compound, [Pt(C₁₃H₁₁N₂S)Cl₃], is hexacoordinated by an aromatic C, a diazene N, three Cl, and one S atoms in an approximately octahedral geometry. There are intra- and intermolecular C-HCl hydrogen-bonding interactions. The crystal packing is stabilized by a weak intermolecular - interaction; the centroid-centroid distance is 3.924 (8) Å and the perpendicular distance is 3.656 Å, with a slippage of 1.424 Å.
