A triclinic polymorph of bis(2,2'-bipyridine-²N,N')(dicyanamido-N)copper(II) perchlorate

Abstract: In the triclinic form of the title compound, [Cu(C₂N₃)(C₁₀H₈N₂)₂]ClO₄, the Cu^II center is coordinated by five N atoms in a distorted square-pyramidal geometry, which is different from that observed earlier in an orthorhombic polymorph of the same compound.
