Tetrabenzimidazolium hexacosaoxidooctamolybdate(VI)

Abstract: The title compound, (C₇H₇N₂)₄[Mo₈O₂₆], features centrosymmetric [Mo₈O₂₆]^4- polyoxidomolybdate(VI) anions and benzimidazolium cations. The constituent MoO₆ octahedra show typical distortions. These components are connected to each other by way of N-HO hydrogen bonds, thereby forming a three-dimensional framework.
