Bis[2-(2-hydroxyethyliminomethyl)-6-methoxyphenolato-²N,O¹]zinc(II)

Abstract: In the title complex, [Zn(C₁₀H₁₂NO₃)₂], the Zn^II ion is coordinated by two N,O-bidentate ligands in a distorted tetrahedral geometry. The crystal packing is stabilized by intermolecular O-HO hydrogen bonds and C-HCg interactions (Cg is an aromatic ring centroid). The hydroxy substituent of one ethanolamine group is disordered over two sites with the ratio of refined occupancies being 0.844 (4): 0.156 (4).
