3-1-(3-methoxy-2-oxidobenzylideneamino)-2-(2-oxidobenzamido)ethane]Abstract: In the title compound, [CuK(C17H15N2O4)(CH3OH)]n, the CuII ion has a square-planar coordination geometry and is coordinated by two N and two O atoms. One phenoxo and the amide O atom also interact with the methanol-coordinated K+ ion along with the methoxy O atom of the trianion. Two bridging interactions to K+ give rise to a linear chain structure. The chains are further linked by hydrogen bonds involving the amido methanol O atoms into a two-dimensional network structure.
