Abstract: In the title compound, [CuK(C₁₇H₁₅N₂O₄)(CH₃OH)]_n, the Cu^II ion has a square-planar coordination geometry and is coordinated by two N and two O atoms. One phenoxo and the amide O atom also interact with the methanol-coordinated K⁺ ion along with the methoxy O atom of the trianion. Two bridging interactions to K⁺ give rise to a linear chain structure. The chains are further linked by hydrogen bonds involving the amido methanol O atoms into a two-dimensional network structure.
